The South Africa Association of Massage Therapists
</p style="text-align:>
The South African Association of Massage Therapists, reviews legislation and proposes new rules and regulations affecting the profession. It maintains high standards within the field and not only, protect consumers by investigating and resolving complaints against practitioners, but also protects professionals and educators against claims. It also works to maintain the educational standards of the profession by directing curricula, licensing schools, and establishing continuing education requirements.
We invite educators to register their courses and course content to be reviewed and approved as in accordance with the industry standards or in elevation thereof. Approved courses and educators get listed and added to our referral base.
We also invite professionals to register and list themselves as role players in reviews and litigation processes.
All massage business owners can register their therapist under their business umbrella. This also assists the business owners in enforcing restraint of trades for while active.
SAAMT also offers insurance, professional and general liability as well as third party insurance.
